A New Generation of African Writers

While searching for a new book to read - I am always in search of one - I stumbled upon Nii Ayikwei Parkes, Tail of the Blue Bird, and it got me thinking about other new Ghanian writers I should be reading. So I started researching on new Ghanian writers, and lets just say I have even more books to add to my ever-growing list of books to read.

  1. Not quite Ghanaian and her book is set in southern Africa - but married to one and living in Ghana so let's give her honorary Ghanaian status: Fiona Leonard, author of 'The Chicken Thief' which I just finished reading. Great read - can't say enough good things.

And yes, Ayikwei Parkes' 'Tail of the Blue Bird' is a personal favourite.

    1. Thanks for the recommendation. I read her blog 'A Fork in the Road', but haven't had a chance to read 'The Chicken Thief'. I am adding it to my ever-growing wishlist. Thank you :).
